Manchester United have reportedly been given the green light to make a £50m move for Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon.
A number of top English clubs have been tracking the full-back since he broke into the Fulham first team at the age of just 16, and the Cottagers are increasingly resigned to losing the now 17-year-old in January.
United are in the market for a new left-back having deployed Ashley Young in that position for much of the season, with manager Jose Mourinho still unconvinced by the likes of Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian.
The Mirror reports that United are willing to spend up to £50m on Sessegnon in an effort to find a long-term solution for the problem area, although they could face competition for his signature.
Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to be interested in the starlet as a potential replacement for Danny Rose, who has himself been linked with a January switch to Old Trafford.
Both clubs see Sessegnon as an ideal option for a wing-back role, with the youngster having scored four times already this season and 11 in his 53 first-team appearances for Fulham.
