Brad Friedel: 'Hugo Lloris will stay at Tottenham Hotspur'

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel says that Hugo Lloris will not leave White Hart Lane after being linked with Manchester United.

Former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Brad Friedel has stated that Hugo Lloris will stay at White Hart Lane.

The French stopper, who succeeded Friedel as first-choice at Spurs during the 2012-13 season, is reportedly wanted by Manchester United.

Friedel has assured supporters that they should not be concerned about potentially losing the 28-year-old.

"For me personally, I don't foresee that transfer even remotely starting up," the American told The Express.

"Hugo is a Tottenham player, he is the Tottenham captain and he will be a Tottenham player and I don't see that changing.

"I don't even think we need to discuss that possibility and I mean that sincerely."

Lloris joined Spurs from Lyon in 2012.
