Former Real Madrid forward Hugo Sanchez has urged Los Blancos to move for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

Madrid have been consistently linked with a move for the 26-year-old in recent seasons, although it is unclear whether the Spanish giants have actually approached Spurs to discuss a potential deal.

Kane scored his 11th Premier League goal of the campaign against Norwich City on Saturday to make it 17 strikes in 24 appearances at club level during the 2019-20 campaign.

Sanchez has claimed that Zinedine Zidane's team should look to sign the England captain even if he costs in the region of £171m.

"I'm of the opinion that Real Madrid should have two teams and two strong number nines. I've noticed Harry Kane for a long time," Sanchez told Marca.

"I'd sign him, even for €200m (£171m). [Cristiano] Ronaldo also cost a lot and look what he gave the club. But knowing Florentino Perez, with his magic he surely has something in his head to do something, but I know the remodelling of the stadium will take money out of the budget."

Kane's overall record at Tottenham stands at 181 goals in 277 appearances.
