Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy targets scouting overhaul

Tottenham Hotspur owner Daniel Levy is reportedly planning to overhaul the club's transfer practices.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is allegedly planning to overhaul the way the club conducts transfer business and scouts players.

The businessman is unhappy with how the £86m Spurs received for Gareth Bale was invested, and is disappointed in the way the team has started the season, the Daily Mail reports.

Spurs have brought in Paulinho, Nacer Chadli, Roberto Soldado, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen since selling Bale to Real Madrid, but have underachieved since offloading the Welshman.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is said to have Levy's full backing, but the chairman is planning to bring in new staff to assist the Argentine in player recruitment ahead of the January transfer window.

The club's head of analysis Jonathan Beaker has already left White Hart Lane, and further restructuring is expected to follow before the end of the year.
