Real Madrid have reportedly offered Tottenham Hotspur £70m plus Fabio Coentrao for winger Gareth Bale.
A recent report in The Sun claimed that the Spanish giants are preparing a world record-equaling £80m bid for the Welshman.
However, Spanish publication Marca has indicated that the offer is nearer the £70m mark with Portuguese full-back Coentrao also added as a makeweight.
The Spanish giants have reportedly been keen on the PFA Player of the Year for some time and are preparing a big-money bid to test Spurs' resolve, but they want Bale to hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force through a move.
Should an offer be accepted, Los Blancos will offer Bale a six-year deal at Santiago Bernabeu as president Florentino Perez looks to rebuild the side following the appointment of coach Carlo Ancelotti earlier this summer.
Bale enjoyed an impressive season last term, scoring 21 goals as Andre Villas-Boas's side finished fifth in the Premier League.
