Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly placed Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez at the top of his list of targets ahead of the January transfer window.
Pochettino worked with the England international during his time with the Saints, and was reported to be interested in signing him in the summer, despite Rodriguez being out of action with a serious knee injury.
Rodriguez has not yet played for Southampton this season, but Pochettino has been receiving regular updates about his recovery, according to The Mirror.
The report claims that the Spurs boss is eager to freshen up his squad in January as his side continue to search for top form, and that could result in a bid being made for the 25-year-old.
Rodriguez scored 17 goals in all competitions last season.
