Real Madrid reportedly table a players-plus-cash offer for Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale.

Real Madrid have reportedly made a formal offer for Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale.

The Spanish giants have lodged a players-plus-cash bid for the winger following the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as their new coach, according to The Mirror.

Argentina international Angel di Maria is one of several players Real are believed to be willing to include in the deal.

However, Spurs have refused to listen to any bids for Bale and are prepared to offer him a £170,000-a-week contract to keep him at White Hart Lane.

Real president Florentino Perez has named Bale on a shortlist of players he is hoping to add to the squad, along with strikers Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani.
