Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker is close to joining the club.
The two clubs have been in discussions regarding the 30-year-old England international since Friday and it now appears that a deal is close to being struck.
"It's very close," Redknapp confirmed to reporters. "He's a good lad, with a great attitude, he was Footballer of the Year last year.
"He'll be a good addition for this football team. He's a proper family man and a good pro."
Redknapp also insisted that Spurs' young midfielder Jake Livermore will not be moving in the opposite direction.
