Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly complete a loan deal for Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes in the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old, who made 22 Primeira Liga appearances for the club last season, is expected to join the club on an 18-month deal.
Fernandes recently started to work with agent Jorge Mendes, who has close links with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
According to The Mirror, the deal could be finalised on Monday after Mendes met with Spurs officials for talks on Friday.
Spurs are desperate for reinforcements this month amid a series of injuries to key players such as Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Hugo Lloris.
Reports state that West Ham United were also determined to complete a deal for the Benfica player in this window.
