Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Real Betis over a £53m move for Argentine midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in talks with Real Betis over a move for Giovani Lo Celso.

Lo Celso, 23, enjoyed a terrific 2018-19 campaign with Betis, finding the back of the net on 16 occasions in 46 appearances for the Spanish outfit in all competitions.

The midfielder has only just completed a permanent move to the Benito Villamarin, having previously been on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

However, according to AS, Tottenham are prepared to pay £53m to land the 12-time Argentina international, who scored six times in 54 games for PSG before leaving the French giants.

The report also claims that Lo Celso's arrival could lead to Christian Eriksen departing the London club.

Indeed, Real Madrid are said to be confident of completing a deal for the playmaker after the Champions League final at the start of next month.
