Mark Hughes: 'Stoke City are an attractive team'

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says that his club are now capable of enticing "exceptional players" to make the move to the Britannia stadium.

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes has claimed that the Britannia Stadium is now seen as an attractive proposition for players in Europe.

The Potters have managed to bring in the likes of Bojan, Xherdan Shaqiri and Marko Arnautovic in recent seasons and all three were in fine form as Stoke recorded a 2-0 win over Manchester City at the weekend.

Hughes has said that, outside of the "top four or five teams" in England, Stoke are now considered an attractive side to represent.

"Top players want to come and play in the Premier League and the top four or five teams can only sign so many. So there's exceptional players out there that you can bring in," Hughes told The Sentinel. "We offer a lot. We offer stability and, if they play well enough, game time and continuity on a daily basis."

Former Bayern Munich attacker Shaqiri, who registered two assists against Man City at the weekend, recently stated that the Potters are a team that "have a lot of potential".
