Borussia Dortmund see off Stuttgart 2-1 with a late Robert Lewandowski strike.

Borussia Dortmund have ensured that Bayern Munich cannot win the Bundesliga today by scraping past 10-man Stuttgart.

The first two chances came within a minute of each other, but both Felipe Lopes for Stuttgart and Dortmund's Marco Reus could not beat their respective goalkeeper.

Ibrahima Traore also had a shot for Stuttgart, but Roman Weidenfeller was equal to his effort before the visitors broke the deadlock just before the half-hour mark.

Lukasz Piszczek came off the bench to replace the injured Marcel Schmelzer and with almost his first touch headed in from a Marco Reus cross.

Stuttgart responded well in the second half and they got level thanks to a goal from Alexandru Maxim on 61 minutes.

With 20 minutes left the hosts were reduced to 10 men when Georg Niedermeier was shown his second yellow card.

That left Dortmund to secure the win, with Robert Lewandowski being set up by Piszczek for the winner late on.
