Dick Advocaat will reportedly turn to youth in order to help Sunderland turn around their current predicament at the bottom end of the Premier League table.
The Dutchman was this week appointed as head coach at the Stadium of Light until the end of the season following Gus Poyet's recent dismissal.
Sunderland are in desperate need of points as the season enters its final stretch of games, and a report in the The Mirror suggests that Advocaat will freshen things up a little by throwing rookie winger Duncan Watmore into the Black Cats' survival scrap in the coming weeks.
At the age of 21, the youngster is yet to make a senior start for the club, being restricted to just one appearance in total during his two years in the North-East, although having impressed for the Under-21s he could now be fast-tracked into the first team.
Advocaat takes charge of his first game this weekend when Sunderland take on West Ham United at Upton Park, sitting just one point above the drop zone.
