Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has admitted that he must wait to find out how serious Steven Fletcher's ankle injury is.
Fletcher was substituted at the break during Sunderland's 2-1 defeat to Norwich City this afternoon after picking up an ankle problem.
O'Neill has said that he will have a better idea of his striker's fitness in the next few days.
He told Sky Sports News: "I'm really not sure, at this moment he is sore. The doctor is with him as we speak but we don't know anything more at this stage.
"I really will not know about the injury properly until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest."
The Scottish poacher is Sunderland's top scorer this season with six goals in the Premier League.
