Gus Poyet: 'Sunderland must be more clinical at home'

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet believes that his side needs to be more "clinical" at the Stadium of Light in the second half of the Premier League season.

Gus Poyet has said that Sunderland need to be more clinical at home in the second half of the Premier League season.

The Black Cats have won just one of their 10 matches at the Stadium of Light so far this season, and host Liverpool tomorrow lunchtime.

The manager told BT Sport: "We had a difficult month against lots of top teams and although I don't think we did fantastic, we did okay.

"Now we go into the second part knowing we need to win more games and we need to be more clinical at home. Everything starts against Liverpool and the challenge is clear."

Sunderland sit 14th in the table ahead of this weekend's fixtures.
