Ki Sung-Yeung excited by Sunderland move

Ki Sung-Yeung admits that he is excited to join Sunderland after completing a season-long loan move from Swansea City this summer.

Ki Sung-Yeung has admitted that he is excited by his move to Sunderland and is looking forward to working with manager Paolo Di Canio.

The South Korea international joined the Black Cats on a season-long loan deal from Swansea City.

The 24-year-old has revealed that the praise Di Canio has lavished upon him following the move has given him plenty of confidence.

"I'm very pleased to join Sunderland and also I heard a lot of good things about them, so I'm looking forward to playing football with them," Ki told the Sunderland Echo.

"I know that the manager has done interviews in which he has said good things about me, which gives me a lot of confidence.

"When I was a kid, I saw him playing and I'm really looking forward to working with him as a manager of this team."

Ki is expected to make his debut for Sunderland in the clash against Arsenal.
