Sunderland have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Dame N'Doye on a six-month loan basis.
The former Hull City striker joined Trabzonspor in the summer, but he has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Turkish side's starting lineup.
As a result, Trabzonspor are prepared to loan out the 30-year-old, which has alerted Black Cats manager Sam Allardyce, according to ESPN.
The report adds that Allardyce has identified N'Doye as the ideal centre-forward to help get the Wearsiders out of relegation trouble.
Last season the Senegal international scored five goals in 15 Premier League outings for Hull.
