Huw Jenkins says that Swansea City is a great place for managers to rise up the ladder.

Huw Jenkins believes that the calibre of managers being linked with the vacant Swansea City post shows that the club is well respected.

A number of names have been linked with the Liberty Stadium hotseat following the departure of Brendan Rodgers to Liverpool.

Jenkins said that with Rodgers, and his predecessor Roberto Martinez, having both excelled in the Premier League, aspiring managers recognise that Swansea is a great place to work.

"We have proved at Swansea City that managers can grow into high-calibre managers by working with us," Jenkins told the South Wales Evening Post. "I think as a result, we have developed a new respect in the football world.

"People on the outside have seen how Brendan and Roberto have risen up the ladder and that they are now regarded as two of the best managers in the Premier League. People can see now that Swansea City is a good place to come and work.

"They recognise that there is a good environment at this club, with a settled way of playing in place which has worked very well for us. All that does not go unnoticed."

The Swans finished 11th in their first season in the Premier League.
