Ki Sung-yueng: 'Confidence not a problem'

Swansea City have more than enough quality to overcome their struggles in the Premier League, according to South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-yueng.

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng has insisted that his team have the confidence to play their way out of a difficult period.

The Welsh outfit are currently in the relegation zone in the Premier League table following a run of just one win in their last 13 league matches.

Swansea's poor form led to Garry Monk losing his position as head coach, but South Korean Ki remains confident that the team have enough quality to move away from the bottom three in the coming weeks.

"You saw in the last two games we played well, we have performed better. Players have confidence so we are not worried about the situation," the 26-year-old told FIFA.com.

"Of course, the fans may worry but we believe in each other and know there's quality in the team. Personally, I am very angry with myself that we are 18th. It is not for us and it is a difficult feeling. If the team is not good enough we accept it but we have really good players, we did so well last season."

Swansea return to action at home to West Bromwich Albion on Boxing Day.
