Garry Monk furious with Swansea City performance

Garry Monk insists that his Swansea City are not safe from relegation from the Premier League after being beaten 2-1 by Hull City.

Garry Monk has admitted that his Swansea City team were not good enough in the first half of their 1-0 defeat to Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

George Boyd's header proved to be enough to beat a below-par Swansea, and Monk was quick to warn his players after the game that they are not safe from relegation this season.

"We were very poor in the first half, nowhere near good enough," Monk told BBC Sport.

"In the second half we had the right attitude but did we really do enough? I don't know. We played too many sloppy balls, had too many touches and I expected better.

"We're not safe and I don't know why anyone would celebrate 33 points. It's not good enough for the quality of players we've got and we're not going to rest until the end of the season."

Swansea are 15th, six points clear of the bottom three in the Premier League.
