Toulouse were the first to threaten when Wissam Ben Yedder fizzed across goal and just wide.

Serge Aurier was next to go close for the hosts before Lyon ended the half on top.

Jimmy Briand's low shot after 28 minutes was saved by Zacharie Boucher before Alexandre Lacazette was also denied from close range just before half time.
