Valencia owner Peter Lim has hailed Los Che's fans for their support during Tuesday's Champions League playoff second leg at Monaco.

Los Che were well represented away to the Ligue 1 side, and their support was repaid as Valencia booked their spot in the group stages of Europe's premier competition.

Lim has said that he was always confident that Valencia would have enough to make the groups.

"I was convinced we would reach the group stages," Super Deporte quotes Lim as saying. "The fans have done a great job in cheering on the players. The project is on-going and has demonstrated it's 'Valencianismo' in good times and bad."

Five La Liga sides will compete in the Champions League proper this season.
