Nelson Valdez is preferred to Roberto Soldado for Valencia as they host Llagostera in the Copa del Rey.

Valencia coach Mauricio Pellegrino has decided to rest a number of key names for their home Copa del Rey encounter against Llagostera.

Pellegrino's side are up 2-0 from the first leg and he has opted to start on-loan Nelson Valdez as the lone striker having given Roberto Soldado the night off.

David Albelda captains the side from midfield and there is also a start for reserve goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

Valencia: Guaita; Barragan, Rami, V. Ruiz, Salva Ruiz; Albelda, D. Parejo; Viera, Jonas, Piatti; Valdez
