Miroslav Djukic has no fears for Valencia future

Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic insists that he has no fears for the club's future.

Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic has insisted that he has no fears over the club's long-term future.

A disappointing start to the season has left Els Taronja in ninth position in La Liga, while Djukic has come under increasing pressure from the club's supporters.

However, the Serbian is confident that the Spanish outfit, who also have financial concerns, will overcome their recent struggles.

"I'm not worried. Valencia has history, infrastructure and great fans. The future of Valencia will always be assured," he told reporters at a press conference.

"What matters for us is sporting stability and what we must do is help the club in this way, because we can't do anything other than that. If in the sporting aspect we achieve the social peace we need, we'll have done a good job. There is no reason to be alarmed.

"Clubs go through bad stages. With the exception of the two giants, I think that most clubs are up for sale, because of all the debts. A sheikh could buy Valencia, but he would need the support of the Valencianos behind him, otherwise there would be no sentiment to the club."

Djukic took charge of Valencia in the summer having previously spent two seasons at Real Valladolid.
