Wales have moved off the bottom of Euro 2012 Qualifying Group G with a 2-0 win over Switzerland at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.
After a goalless first half, the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Reto Ziegler was shown a straight red card for a tackle on Gareth Bale.
The home side took the lead soon after when captain Aaron Ramsey fired in from the penalty spot after Chris Gunter had been tripped in the box.
Their lead was swiftly doubled when Bale was put through on goal by Steve Morison before he found the net.
Gary Speed's side next face a trip to Bulgaria on Tuesday.
