Half-Time Report: Watford in control against Crystal Palace

Goals from Almen Abdi and Nathaniel Chalobah give Watford a 2-0 half-time lead over Crystal Palace in the Championship at Vicarage Road.

Watford have a 2-0 half-time lead over Crystal Palace in this evening's Championship encounter at Vicarage Road.

A win for Gianfranco's side would move them up to second place in the table.

The hosts took the lead in the seventh minute when Almen Abdi cut in from the left to fire in a low shot past Julian Speroni from 18 yards.

Their advantage was doubled with 17 minutes on the clock as Nathaniel Chalobah reacted quickest to head in Marco Cassetti's scuffed shot following a corner.
