Chris Brunt is hopeful that West Bromwich Albion can get back to winning ways against Liverpool tonight.

West Bromwich Albion captain Chris Brunt is hopeful that the Baggies can get their season back on track against Liverpool this evening.

The Northern Ireland international's side, who defeated Liverpool at The Hawthorns on the opening day of the Premier League campaign, have lost five times in their last six encounters.

"We are moving in the right direction but the last few weeks we haven't been great," ITV Sport quotes Brunt as saying. "We know that ourselves and know where we've got to improve to get it right.

"December and January is a pretty hectic period and it's one where we have tended to struggle a bit in the last few seasons and then picked up in February. Hopefully that will be the case again, starting on Monday."

West Brom are currently ninth in the league table.
