Roy Hodgson coy on West Brom future

Roy Hodgson says that he has yet to make a decision on his future at West Bromwich Albion.

Roy Hodgson has said that he has yet to make a decision on his future at West Bromwich Albion.

Hodgson joined the Midlands outfit in February this year and helped steer them away from Premier League relegation.

His deal lasts until the summer, and it is understood that West Brom officials want to extend the contract.

"I'm sure there'll come a time when I can make a clear decision about the future," Hodgson said.

"But the club have let me know they will be happy to sit down with me. We don't have timescales."

Hodgson admitted that joining West Brom when they were in danger of sinking to the Championship was a risk.

"It was a relatively bold decision after leaving Liverpool to jump straight back, especially at a club that was in danger of relegation. That bold decision paid off," he said.

"We harbour ambitions of a third successive season in the Premier League which will be a first."

West Brom are currently ninth in the league with 22 points from 18 games.
