Alan Irvine hoping for turning point ahead of Queens Park Rangers clash

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine hopes that his side's recent win over Aston Villa will prove to be a turning point in the club's Premier League season.

West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Irvine has said that he hopes his side's recent victory over Aston Villa will serve as a turning point in the club's season.

The Baggies coach saw his side to a slender 1-0 win over their rivals at The Hawthorns, with the Scottish manager urging his team to push on when they face Queens Park Rangers in a six-pointer this weekend.

"I hope this is the turning point for us. It was nice to have got the results we have done, we obviously have to build on that," said Irvine, according to talkSPORT.

"We've had clean sheets which are a big help. We managed to get a goal - and our problem in games has been a lack of goals.

"We clearly are aware of that - and we're doing a lot of work to try and address that. We feel that if we create enough opportunities we have players who can score."

West Brom currently find themselves sitting three points above the relegation zone in 14th place.
