West Bromwich Albion record their third successive home win with a narrow victory over Reading at The Hawthorns.

West Bromwich Albion have maintained their 100% home record with a narrow victory over Reading at The Hawthorns.

Following a subdued opening 45 minutes, Romelu Lukaku marked his full Baggies debut by scoring the only goal of the game on 71 minutes.

The Belgium international latched onto Shane Long's headed pass before smashing home a left-footed shot into the centre of the goal from 15 yards.

Royals keeper Alex McCarthy had earlier made a number of impressive saves - most notably to deny James Morrison - before Lukaku broke the deadlock.

Jonas Olsson headed against the post for West Brom, who now sit third in the Premier League table.
