Team News: Nicolas Anelka starts for West Bromwich Albion

Nicolas Anelka starts for West Bromwich Albion in today's clash with Southampton.

Southampton have handed debuts to summer signings Dejan Lovren and Victor Wanyama, while Nicolas Anelka starts for West Bromwich Albion.

Lovren, captain of the Croatian national team, starts in defence, while Wanyama takes his place in the midfield.

The Saints also include four academy graduates in their team - Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, James Ward-Prowse and Calum Chambers, who makes his debut.

Albion's biggest summer signing, Anelka, returns to the Premier League after spells in China and Italy. He will lead the line alongside Shane Long.

Former Watford striker Matej Vydra is on the bench for the home side.
