West Bromwich Albion are willing to sell striker Markus Rosenberg should they receive an acceptable offer.

West Bromwich Albion sporting and technical director Richard Garlick has revealed that the club are prepared to sell Markus Rosenberg this summer.

The 30-year-old failed to score a single goal in 24 Premier League appearances for the Baggies last season, having started just five of those matches.

However, while he insists that the forward will remain a part of manager Steve Clarke's plans if he stays, Garlick admits that Albion are open to offers for Rosenberg.

"It's been frustrating for him and it's been frustrating for us in terms of how it panned out for him," said Garlick. "If he's going to have the same season as last season, then it will be even more frustrating for him.

"So if there is a solution there that everyone is happy with then we will look at that but obviously he still has two years left [on his contract]. We are at a stage of the pre-season where there is a lot of information-gathering. People are finding out what the situation is with various players and various clubs.

"He did well in Germany and Spain and there is interest out there for him. It's just what form that interest is in and where it's from. I'm in touch with his agent every week. He knows the situation, we know what we want and as we move on in the window maybe we'll get something more concrete - but, yes, there is interest in him."

Rosenberg joined West Brom from Werder Bremen last summer.
