Sam Allardyce: 'Goals a problem for us'

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce says that scoring goals is becoming a "problem" for his side, after the Hammers drew 0-0 with Sunderland.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has said that his side are "brilliant" at keeping clean sheets, but has admitted that scoring goals is becoming a "problem".

The Hammers drew 0-0 with the Premier League's bottom side Sunderland at Upton Park this afternoon, which leaves Allardyce's team in 17th place, one point above the relegation zone.

"We have got eight clean sheets so far this season. That is a brilliant return as we only got 11 last season," Allardyve told BBC Sport.

"We all know that the goal factor is the problem for us and we would be higher up the league if we could score more.

"Creative players were on the field against Sunderland but they didn't play at their creative best."

West Ham have scored just 13 goals in 16 Premier League games this season at a rate of 0.87 goals per game.
