Sam Allardyce has no plans to quit as West Ham United boss

Sam Allardyce insists that he will not step down as manager of West Ham United following a run of poor results in the Premier League.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has insisted that he will not walk away from his post at Upton Park unless he is told to leave by the club.

A number of disgruntled fans have called for the 59-year-old to be sacked following four consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

However, Allardyce has claimed that his future will be decided by West Ham's owners David Gold and David Sullivan, or vice chairman Karren Brady.

"I wouldn't see it any other way until they ring me and tell me otherwise," Allardyce told reporters in Thursday's press conference. "Without results you get criticised. Hostility in terms of disapproval of what you're doing or not doing is part of the job."

The Hammers will take on Tottenham Hotspur on home turf in the Premier League this weekend.
