West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini denies reports that attacker Lucas Perez refused to come on as a sub during his side's 3-1 win over Everton.

West Ham United manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he does not have any problem with Lucas Perez following reports of a row during this afternoon's Premier League clash with Everton.

Television cameras appeared to show Pellegrini telling Perez to warm up during his side's eventual 3-1 win at Goodison Park, only for the Spaniard to refuse.

The summer signing has featured sparingly for the Hammers so far this season, but Pellegrini insisted that the forward did not refuse to come on as a sub.

"Maybe it looks and you can think he refuses," Pellegrini told Sky Sports News after the match.

"When [Marko] Arnautovic was injured, I called him because he was making his warm-up, but when he was back sitting on the bench and [Michail] Antonio was working I called him because he was ready. I don't have any problem with the player."

Perez has made only two substitute appearances for West Ham since joining from Arsenal.
