West Ham United 'close to triple swoop'

Defensive trio Sebastian Boenisch, Ivan Ramis and James Collins are expected to join West Ham United this week, according to reports.

West Ham United are said to be close to signing Poland left-back Sebastian Boenisch.

The 25-year-old was released by Werder Bremen last month following four and a half seasons at Weserstadion.

According to The Metro, Boenisch - along with fellow defenders Ivan Ramis and James Collins - will join the Hammers later this week.

Boenisch has been capped nine times at senior international level.
