Team News: Bakary Sako left out of Wolves' trip to Port Vale

Bakary Sako is left out of Wolves' trip to Port Vale today, amid intense transfer speculation linking him to Nottingham Forest.

Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako has been left out of the squad to face Port Vale in League One today.

Nottingham Forest have seen a late bid to capture the 26-year-old rebuffed by the West Midlands outfit this week, and Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has opted against including the Frenchman in his squad for the trip to Staffordshire.

Jackett has made four changes to his starting XI in total, as David Davis, Kevin McDonald and Leigh Griffiths come into the fold, as does Scott Golbourne who is set for his debut after completing a switch from Barnsley on Friday.

Meanwhile, Valiants boss Micky Adams has elected to make just one change to his side following last week's 3-1 defeat to Oldham Athletic, with Kaid Mohammed dropping out of the team in favour of Anthony Griffith.

Port Vale: Neal; Yates, Jones, Robertson, Dickinson; Loft, Myrie-Williams, Pope, Lines; Griffith, Hughes

Wolverhampton Wanderers: Ikeme; Doherty, Batth, Stearman, Ricketts; Ismail, Davis, McDonald, Golbourne; Griffiths, Doyle
