Wakefield Trinity Wildcats have moved level on points with a 26-22 victory over Salford City Reds.
The home side raced into a 12-0 lead with tries from Dean Collis and Danny Washbrook.
Paul Sykes converted both kicks to give the Wildcats the perfect start.
Daniel Holdsworth brought Salford back into the game after he raced on to touch down before converting the kick himself.
Frankie Mariano and Peter Fox then put the hosts in a commanding position by scoring tries before the half-time interval.
However, it was Salford who seized the initiative in the second half, with Chris Nero scoring before a double from Ashley Gibson.
Holdsworth failed to convert the kick, meaning that Salford's efforts were not enough to avoid defeat and the points stayed at Belle Vue.
