Michael Bradley leaves his position as head coach of Edinburgh with immediate effect.

Michael Bradley has departed his position as head coach of Edinburgh with immediate effect.

Bradley had been expected to leave when his contract expired in May, but along with that of assistant coach Neil Back, his tenure has been brought to an end.

Edinburgh managing director Craig Docherty has revealed that Scotland assistant coaches Stevie Scott and Duncan Hodge have been put in temporary charge of the team.

"It's heartening to welcome the appointment of two former Edinburgh Rugby and Scotland internationals to our backroom on an interim basis," he told club's official website.

"I believe they are the right people to inspire our squad for the remainder of the season and assess the player group going forward."

Scott and Hodge will take charge of the team from March 18.
