Ninth seed Richard Gasquet dropped just seven games as he overcame Alejandro Falla in round two of the Australian Open on Thursday.

The Frenchman served supremely on Show Court Two, hitting 13 aces and winning 76% of points behind his first serve.

He broke his Colombian opponent six times en route to securing a 6-3 6-2 6-2 victory inside 101 minutes.

Croatia's Ivan Dodig will face Gasquet in the next round.
