Andy Murray comes from a set down to beat Richard Gasquet

British number one Andy Murray is through to the semi-finals at the Cincinnati Open after coming from a set down against Richard Gasquet.

World number two Andy Murray has fought back after losing the opening set to beat Richard Gasquet 4-6 6-1 6-4 in the quarter-finals at the Cincinnati Masters.

The Briton had chances to break his opponent in the opener, but the resilient Frenchman did enough to hold, before breaking Murray in the following game.

Murray was immediately on the attack in the second as he sought to level the match, winning the first three games of the set as he broke his opponent for the first time in the match.

Gasquet appeared to tire throughout the second, allowing the Scot to wrap it up with ease, forcing the match into a deciding set.

It was Murray who was ahead first again in the third, but Gasquet responded quickly to get it back on serve, before the Brit raised his game again, leaving him serving for the match.

After recovering from a double fault on the opening point of his own service game, Murray turned it around, bringing up two match points, converting the second with an ace.

Murray will face the winner of the match between Roger Federer and Feliciano Lopez in the last four.
