Tomas Berdych has moved into the quarter-finals of the BNP Paribas Open with a comfortable straight-sets victory over Richard Gasquet.
The sixth seed hammered his French opponent in the first set as two breaks of serve saw him seal it 6-1.
Tenth seed Gasquet put up more resistance in the second before he eventually succumbed 7-5.
Berdych will play Kevin Anderson in the last eight following the South African's 6-3 1-6 6-4 win against Gilles Simon.
