Novak Djokovic has booked his place in the China Open final after beating Andy Murray in straight sets 6-3 6-4.
The result never looked in doubt as the Serbian broke the Scot's serve at 5-3 in the first set to give himself the advantage.
The two traded games in the second set as each player held serve.
It was Djokovic who began to make the breakthrough and failed to let Murray gain any momentum.
Murray staged a late comeback to give himself hope at 4-4 but was unable to hold his serve as Djokovic raced through to win their semi-final encounter.
Djokovic will face either Martin Klizan or Tomas Berdych in the final.
