Tommy Robredo has booked his spot in the third round of Wimbledon with a 7-6 6-1 7-6 victory over Nicolas Mahut on Wednesday.
Both players served well in the opening set, but it was Robredo who emerged victorious from the resulting tie-break and moved into a one-set lead.
It proved to be more straightforward for Robredo in the second, with Mahut twice losing his serve as the Spaniard took a two-set lead.
Mahut responded in the third set, holding his serve on each occasion as the match entered its second tie-break. However, it was Robredo who once more triumphed, this time 7-5, to book a third-round match with Andy Murray.
