Lucie Safarova barely broke sweat as she cruised into the third round of Wimbledon with a straight-sets victory over Hsieh Su-Wei of Taiwan this afternoon.
Safarova looked perilously close to being a first-round casualty after squeezing past the unseeded Alison Riske on Monday.
However, the world number six looked in no such danger this evening with a comprehensive 6-2 6-3 victory in just 68 minutes.
Hsieh, ranked 125 places below her Czech counterpart, got off to an ominous start as Safarova broke her in the opening game en route to a 3-0 lead.
Another break of serve in the seventh game allowed her to go 5-2 ahead before seeing out the first set in comfortable fashion.
Safarova again opened up the second set with a break as she swiftly established a 3-1 lead, before inflicting another in the ninth game to seal her place in the next round.
