Lille striker Nolan Roux has said that he did not expect to have such a fine start to his career with the Ligue 1 champions.
The 24-year-old has scored four goals in his first four games since joining Les Dogues from Brest in January.
"Obivously I'm very happy with the way things are going," said Roux. "I wasn't expecting to have such a legendary start, even though I have confidence my abilities as a striker.
"It's never easy to join a team that has already known success. You have to integrate quickly but they also have to accept you, and luckily both these things happened quickly and helped things go well out on the pitch."
Lille entertain Auxerre on Saturday hoping to keep alive their hopes of retaining their Ligue 1 crown, and Roux believes that only a win will be enough against the second-bottom side.
"We'll need to be careful this weekend," added Roux. "Sure, Lille is ranked higher than Auxerre, but if we want to stay in the top three, we absolutely have to take all three points on Saturday."
Les Dogues are currently third in Ligue 1, six points behind second-placed Paris Saint-Germain.
