Arsenal injury, suspension list and return dates for PSV clash: Bukayo Saka update

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven.

Only the collapse of all collapses will prevent Arsenal from reaching the Champions League quarter-finals when they welcome PSV Eindhoven to the Emirates for Wednesday's last-16 second leg.

Mikel Arteta's merciless men ran riot in a 7-1 slaughter of the Dutch outfit in the Netherlands last week, becoming the first side to score seven goals away from home in a Champions League knockout game.

However, the Gunners returned to their toothless ways in the Premier League over the weekend, only salvaging a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford thanks to a Declan Rice strike in the second half.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the Gunners' latest injury and suspension news before their showdown with PSV, who restored a sense of pride by beating Heerenveen 2-1 in the weekend's Eredivisie battle.

Gabriel Jesus

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Luckless centre-forward Gabriel Jesus suffered a devastating ACL rupture in January's FA Cup third-round defeat to Man United, and the Brazil international will definitely miss the remainder of the season and potentially the rest of 2025.

Bukayo Saka

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 1 (vs. Fulham)

Following Gabriel Martinelli's return from a hamstring injury at Old Trafford, Bukayo Saka should now be the next cab off the rank. Arteta told reporters after Sunday's draw that the Englishman was in a good place with his recovery, and there is hope that he will be fit following the international break.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Takehiro Tomiyasu has made just one substitute appearance this season due to a troublesome knee injury, and he will end the campaign with just one appearance to his name after undergoing surgery to correct the issue.

Kai Havertz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Kai Havertz will be keeping Jesus and Tomiyasu company in the treatment room for the next few months, as the Germany international recuperates from the season-ending hamstring issue he suffered in Dubai.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this match, but Martinelli, Raheem Sterling and Jurrien Timber will miss the first leg of the quarter-finals if they are booked on Wednesday.
