Juventus are reportedly prepared to rival Arsenal in the race to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Juventus.

Courtesy of a £45m release clause, the Ghana international has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Arsenal.

However, with the Gunners struggling to agree a part-exchange deal with Atletico, the door has been left ajar for other clubs to enter the running.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have now registered an interest in the versatile 27-year-old.

The report claims that Thomas is keen on a switch to the Serie A champions, who have recently appointed Andrea Pirlo as their new head coach.

Like Arsenal, Juve are expected to favour putting together a proposal which involves one player heading in the opposite direction.
