The agent of Sassuolo midfielder Manuel Locatelli has affirmed that the Gunners have tabled a £34m bid for the Italian.
Club chief Giovanni Carnevali recently claimed that the 23-year-old was the subject of an offer from the Gunners, but his comments were dismissed by some as a negotiation tactic with Juventus also interested.
However, Arsenal are in the market for midfield reinforcements as Granit Xhaka closes in on an exit, and Locatelli's agent Andrea D'Amico has now backed up Carnevali's comments while denying the possibility of a swap with Juve including Nicolo Fagioli.
Speaking to Sky Italia, D'Amico said: "Juventus would like to sign Locatelli and Arsenal have already offered €40m (£34m).
"But I can assure you that, as of today, Fagioli has not been included in the deal. Massimiliano Allegri wants to see him in training to understand if he can be useful during the season."
Arsenal announced the arrival of Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht on Monday, though, and Locatelli is reportedly favouring a move to Juventus over Mikel Arteta's side.
Locatelli scored twice for Italy during their triumphant Euro 2020 campaign and is currently due to become a free agent in 2023.
