Jackson Martinez: 'I cheered for Arsenal'

Porto striker Jackson Martinez says that he grew up supporting Arsenal and would love to join the club one day.

Porto striker Jackson Martinez has revealed that he grew up supporting Arsenal and would love to join the club one day.

Martinez has been increasingly linked with a move to the Gunners after admitting that he would like to play in the Premier League.

"I cheered for Arsenal when I was a kid – I love their style of play," Martinez told Metro.

"It's flowing and open with a lot of first touch passes, it would be suitable for a player like me.

"If I get a chance to play for a high level club like Arsenal I wouldn't hesitate to accept it."

Arsenal are rumoured to be looking for a striker during the January transfer window and have been linked with Fulham's Dimitar Berbatov.
